WATER HRD RECOVERY:
In early 2023, PACSAR purchased a 2000, 16 ft Alumacraft River Boat. With a 40-horse jet Yamaha gas motor and in addition, a Minn Kota electric motor for trolling was added. This boat was purchased to train our HRD K9 teams in water recovery and is operational when needed. We currently have 2 certified K9s and 4 in training.
In addition to our Water Recovery K9 training, our boat operators must take a boating safety certification class before becoming an operational pilot. Training in boat driving is the first process after receiving the certification. Each time the boat is deployed (training or in operation), there will be 3 team members for full operation: a pilot, spotter, and K9 team.
